Do you have or know a 4th grader who might be interested in starting their 5th grade year as a KIPP student?  Enrollment opens February 13th for the 2012-2013 school year!

• KIPP is a tuition-free, public, college preparatory school dedicated to helping your student climb the mountain to and through college.
• KIPP offers an extended school schedule.  Classes start at 7:45am and end at 5:00pm, students attend Saturday School once a month, and Summer School is held every July.  More time in class means more time for learning.
• Students participate in college tours, incentive trips, and field lessons to places like Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Atlanta. 

Enrollment for incoming 5^th graders is based on a lottery system.  Students’ names will be drawn randomly in order to fill each 5^th grade spot for admission.  The parent/guardian and student MUST attend the lottery on March 8^th at 6:00pm to be considered for enrollment.

Twenty 8th Graders spent the day at BOK downtown, shadowing professionals in their fields of interest and learning what it's really like to work at BOK.  From Marketing to Human Relations, students learned that there's more to a bank than numbers...and, that their classes at KIPP Tulsa apply directly to real-life careers!  Students who love English and writing shadowed Corporate Communications pros who explained how important those subjects were to their jobs, while KIPPsters who enjoy math and technology spent the day in IT.  

At the end of the day the KIPPsters gave group presentations on the deparatments they shadowed and enjoyed lunch hosted by BOK.  The event was a huge success, and our KIPPsters are now one step closer to success in high school, college, and the competitive world beyond!!
