Knowledge Is Power Program 

A new school of choice that imposes high expectations, more time on tasks, and focus on results!   

KIPP Tulsa is in search of dynamic educators who are motivated, energetic, and willing to work hard to ensure students reach their optimal level of achievement.   

Teaching opportunities are available in the areas of Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Reading/Writing, History, Foreign Language, Technology and the Arts.  Teachers are expected to believe deeply in the mission and values of KIPP Tulsa and subscribe to KIPP's Five Pillars; hold high expectations for each student; demonstrate strong pedagogy; and create and foster a positive learning environment.  In addition, our teachers are to:

  • Possess a strong knowledge of content area;
  • Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum standards;
  • Creatively integrate landmark strategies into daily instruction;
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure curricular rigor and alignment;
  • Create and teach challenging and engaging lessons linked to state standards;
  • Exhibit rapport with students as well as establish and maintain strong communication lines with parent/guardian; and
  • Handle additional duties as assigned and expected.
 

Qualifications include: At least two years of teaching experiences (Preferred); Bachelors degree (Required); Experience/strength in content area (Preferred); Oklahoma State teaching credential (Required) or willingness to work towards state teaching credential (Required); Commitment to the design and development of the school (Required); Compensation & Benefits:  Salary is based on the public school pay scale in Tulsa Public Schools, with additional compensation for the extra teaching hours required with a competitive benefits package.
